We are bringing together Scottish Transitions Forum members to give you the opportunity to review and input to the first draft of ‘Principles into Practice’ – a National framework for transitions based on around the 7 Principles of Good Transitions.
There will be input from a young leader and a parent/carer talking about their experiences of transitions and why it is so important we get this right.
Most of the day will be in small group discussions exploring the Framework and gathering your feedback, exploring what needs to happen to support its implementation, and how we may overcome any barriers to doing this.
During the event we will update you on the progress against the three recommendations arising from ‘Leading the Change: Solving the transitions puzzle’ seminar (October 2018).
The recommendations are:
- Develop a nationally agreed non-mandatory framework for transitions
- Review current approaches to data gathering and evaluation
- Continue to work together to develop solutions, share knowledge and resources
